Chris is the founding Partner of Else Solicitors and has over 25 years’ experience as a commercial solicitor dealing mainly with commercial disputes. He is also an accredited Mediator.
Chris qualified as a solicitor in 1984 and gained 3 years’ experience as a criminal advocate before joining one of the leading commercial law firms in Birmingham. He handled banking and general commercial litigation, before joning a law firm in Derby where he set up its commercial practice specialising in general commercial dispute resolution. He gained further experience in the beverage sector acting for breweries and pub companies advising on commercial and landlord and tenant issues.Chris founded Else Solicitors in 2003, and has overseen the rapid and successful rise of the business which now employs 40 staff.
Chris trained as a mediator with the ADR Group in Bristol, and has conducted numerous mediations as an advocate. He acted as a joint mediator with Andrew Paton of Pinsent Masons LLP and ADR Group on a multi-party mediation dispute, and has resolved many intractable company and shareholder disputes.
He enjoys playing an active role in supporting and attending business network groups which add value not only to Else Solicitors but to other businesses outside Else.
