Kathryn Caple is Partner and Head of Wills & Probate at Else Solicitors in Burton on Trent. Kathryn has been working as a Private Client Solicitor since qualification and is a member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Kathryn has been working as a Private Client Solicitor since qualification in 2003.

Kathryn has considerable experience in advising clients on Estate Planning matters which include drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, advising on Inheritance Tax matters and advising on, drafting and administering trusts, including personal injury trusts.

Kathryn also specialises in the administration of estates, including applications for Grants of Probate, dealing with Inheritance Tax matters and Deeds of Variation.

  • Advising on and drafting a variety of trust deeds, including providing the appropriate tax advice.

Kathryn’s most notable work includes:

  • Providing a full administration of taxable estates in excess of £1 million.
  • Providing advice and drafting a trust to hold company shares worth in excess of £1 million.
  • Drafting and executing trusts to hold pension funds in order to save inheritance tax.
  • Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and providing advice for families with disabled children.
  • Providing inheritance tax advice for those with taxable estates and helping to put those plans into action where appropriate.
  • Using Discretionary Trusts in Wills to help protect and control assets and protect vulnerable beneficiaries.

Interests

Kathryn is currently Vice President of the Etwall & Hilton Rotary Club, taking up full Presidential responsibilities from July 2019. She is a keen viola player, having previously performed with the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra, and also enjoys reading and playing board games with her family.
