Katie Burgess

Katie Burgess is a Consultant Property Solicitor at Else Solicitors LLP.

After obtaining her law degree at Sheffield Hallam University and her LPC at Nottingham Law School, Katie went on to qualify as a Solicitor with Else Solicitors LLP in 2012.  Following qualification Katie worked at law firms in Staffordshire and Derbyshire, specialising in both Residential and Commercial Property.  Katie returned to Else Solicitors LLP as a Consultant Solicitor in the Commercial Property Department in 2022.

Key Services

Katie assists her clients with the full variety of property matters with specialities which include:

• Acting for buyers, and sellers in the purchase and sale of registered and unregistered property, including transfers of equity and probate sales;
• Acting for both Landlords and Tenants in the grant of new commercial leases, renewal leases and assignments of leases;
• Acting in the acquisition and disposal of commercial units, residential development land and commercial finance;
• Refinancing property portfolios;
• Pension fund acquisitions and disposals;
• Drafting, negotiating and advising on option agreements;
• Acting for buyers and sellers in asset sales and purchases of businesses including pubs and hotels.

In Katie’s spare time she mainly focuses on spending time with her young family.
