Do you make the most of your Chamber membership?
On Thursday 19th January at the Winery, Chris Else, Vice President of the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, shared with members proven strategies to make the most of their Chamber membership.
Chris outlined the many business opportunities that membership presents to local companies. His own firm, Else Solicitors, has benefited considerably from Chamber membership by hosting and sponsoring events that showcased its services. Chris urged members to get involved so that they can also win more business.
He recommended that members engage with Chris Plant, Director of the Burton Chamber, to find out how they can maximise their membership. This could be by attending the quarterly event for new and prospective members at Marston’s visitors centre. This popular social networking event attracts companies from across the region and generates business for attendees.
Burton and District is unique in that it is part of both the Greater Birmingham and Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. This gives members access to a large membership and the significant business opportunities these connections present.
Chris Else concluded “The Chamber is committed to helping our members win more work and grow their business. One way you can do this is by attending one of our many events. The best way you can engage with other members and boost your profile is to host your own event. For example, Else Solicitors is working in partnership with Santander and No.5 Barrister Chambers to promote the Birmingham Chamber export event. This strategy delivers benefits to the companies involved, the Chambers, their members and the wider business community”.
