End of an era at Peel Croft

For 16 years Else Solicitors have sponsored one game per season at BRFC’s historic home ground ‘Peel Croft’ on Lichfield Street.

Saturday’s game against Sheffield provided the ideal opportunity to celebrate the long standing relationship between Else Solicitors and the club. As many as 50 guests gathered in the Jack Baker Suite to enjoy the game and raise money for the development of the club’s new ground in Tatenhill.

Chris Else, Managing Partner at Else Solicitors organised a raffle to raise funds to support the town’s rugby club in their mission to provide safe and supportive facilities for all to enjoy at the new site and commented:

“We’ve been supporting the club for years and really enjoy our annual sponsored game. We are looking forward to nurturing the relationship further when the club moves to their new home which conveniently for us, is located just across the A38 from our offices on Centrum 100. We wish the club all the best and we hope our fundraising efforts over the weekend will help the team fulfill their aspirations for the new site.”

The sale of Peel Croft to a retail developer back in December 2019 marks the end of an era for both the club and the firm but both parties look forward to making new memories and cementing relationships at the new ground in years to come.
